when i started making the art for this album, it was 3150000 killed by covid-19. by the time i'd finished the artwork, it had gone up to 3160000. who knows how many it will have killed by the time you're listening to the album?

every one of these people is a whole real person, as loved and important to the people around them as you are. somebody's mother, workmate, sister, daughter, father, uncle, son, best friend, lover, grandma, grandpa, teacher, librarian, grocer, cousin, neighbour, nephew, niece, sibling, associate, quasi-stranger on the street who you kinda recognise and so nod to now and then when you pass them. every single one. like it or not, we're all connected somehow.

please do what you can to keep those around you safe.
